Gaea (Mother Earth personified)
Preface: There was a foretelling that the planet would be destroyed, and then somehow regenerated. A group of men, which included three scientists, a religious leader, a politician and an invisible silent partner who provided all of the funding, secretly launched the highly classified "Legacy Project" and gave it the code name "Green Light." The project was initiated in order to ensure the preservation and continuation of our species. Legend has is that this planet has been destroyed and reborn many times. Somehow each time, our species found a way to survive.
But there was something different about THIS occurrence.
After having been ravaged by so many plagues, pestilences, famine, natural disasters, and wars, the planet's resources were going to be catastrophically depleted. This would threaten our survival.
